Hello fellow Composers on Compositeurs.org. Thank you very much for your interest in my company. I hold a special place in my heart for the people of France, as I have spent many years in Paris, Antigny (south of Poitiers), and Saint Germaine En Laye. Someone who was like an uncle to me was Francis Paudras, best friend to Bud Powell, and a great friend to me and my family, and my father Bill Evans. I've worked many years with Bernard Maury, who sadly died recently of cancer, who was the leading harmony specialist in France, and who started The Bill Evans Piano Academy, still operating in Paris.
I want to quickly talk about the fee we charge for membership. I agree with everyone, that it looks like it's an access fee, that gives you the right to work on projects. However, in reality, this fee is only paying for our sales team to procure more jobs and to cover the administrative expenses of handling a member account (activation, correspondance, etc). A minor secondary benefit to us, is that only the most humble and serious pay, and those are the individuals we like working with.
In the past we offered memberships for free, but it quickly grew out of control. And now, although we likely do not get as many interested people, we get 80% of the people we want to work with, and we have the money necessary to scale directly in proportion to the number of members that subscribe.
I hope you will consider TeamScore a great opportunity for you and your friends. We are a community of sharing and good spirits. Any friend of mine, can be a friend of yours.
Under this program, every member of The Composer Collective is instantly approved to be on a project's "B Team" AKA: "Backup Team". You get access to the music development web office where our "A Team" members are collaborating. That's where you can read spotting notes, cues needed, director comments, listen to "A Team" members' cues, and the most exciting part is that you can upload and submit your own cues for scenes in the hopes that if the project manager approves them for client approval, that the client themselves will approve your creation. If that happens, you instantly get placed on the "A Team", and you get the benefits of your fellow "A Team" members
